🔗 Step-by-step guide | COST Annotated Rules

Short-Term Scientific Missions (STSMs)

These missions provide an opportunity for researchers involved in the GIN-TONIC COST Action to visit an institution or laboratory in another COST Member/Cooperating Member or Near-Neighbour Country participating in the Action.

  • STSMs typically last 5–90 days (up to 180 days for early-career researchers).

  • The candidate may request funding up to 4,000€.

  • Up to 50% of the requested amount can be provided upfront.

  • The funding should reflect actual costs (travel, accommodation, and subsistence expenses) based on the planned location and time period.

Inclusiveness Target Countries (ITC) Conference Grants

The ITC Conference Grant funds oral presentation by Action Participants affiliated with institutions in Inclusiveness Target Countries (ITC) or Near Neighbour Countries (NNC) at high-level international conferences fully organized by a third party (i.e., not organized or co-organized by the COST Action).

  • Up to 2,500€ per grant for face-to-face conferences.

  • Up to 500€ per grant for online conferences

Young Researchers and Innovators (YRI) Conference Grants

The YRI Conference Grant supports Young Researchers and Innovators (YRI) in presenting their own research (oral or poster presentation) at high-level international conferences fully organized by a third party (i.e., not organized or co-organized by the COST Action).

  • Up to 2,500€ per grant for face-to-face conferences.

  • Up to 500€ per grant for online conferences

Dissemination Conference Grants in COST Actions

The Dissemination Conference Grant funds oral presentations by Action Participants on the work of the GIN-TONIC COST Action at high-level conferences fully organized by a third party (i.e., not organized or co-organized by the COST Action).

  • Up to 2,500€ per grant for face-to-face conferences.

  • Up to 500€ per grant for online conferences

Virtual Mobility Grant

The Virtual Mobility Grant supports collaboration in an online setting among researchers or innovators within the COST Action, facilitating knowledge exchange, learning new techniques, and strengthening research networks.

  • Up to 1,500€ per grant.
